The central offices of the Department of Economics of ISEG - Institute of Economics and Business Administration - Technical University of Lisbon Institute are   in the Rua Miguel Lupi nº 20 (Edifício Bento de Jesus Caraça) - Lisbon - Portugal.

ISEG-UTL is in the Lisbon center, in front of the Parliament.

Train:

The nearest train stations are Santos station ( Cascais  Line). ISEG is at a 5 minute walking distance from Santos station. Departing from Santos station and by Cascais Line train is possible to travel to several coast beaches (Cascais, Estoril, Carcavelos, Paco de Arcos, etc.) and Lisbon turistic places:  Belem, Jeronimos Monastery, Terreiro do Paco, etc. (visit the Cascais Line site and timetables click here).

 

Airport Transport:

Lisbon / Portela Airport - Hotels

Portela airport is not far from Lisbon centre.

Bus from the Airport to the Hotels in Marques de Pombal area / Restauradores area: Timetable/frequency;  from 7.00 am until 9.00 pm; departs every 20 minutes.

Taxi from Airport to Hotels travel duration: 20 min.

Bank Services:
Many  ATMs all over the city ; There is a Bank (Caixa Geral de Depósitos) and an ATMs in the Summer School Place  place (ISEG) with a special timetable:10 -16.30 with no lunchtime closing.

The general time table of Banks is: 08.30 - 15.00 with no lunchtime closing.

Banks are closed at Saturday and Sunday.  

 

 

Credit Cards:

Hotels, restaurants, shops, car rental agencies, ATMs, usually accept  credit cards (VISA, Euro card, MasterCard, American Express).  

 

 

Personal Documentation:

Nationals of the EU: identity card is required. Most countries outside the EU: passport is required.

Timetable of Post Offices: 09.00 - 18.00. Closed Saturday and Sunday.

Special post offices: At airport (24hours/everyday); At Restauradores weekdays:09.00-20.00;Saturday:09.00-18.00

There are many Public Phones in Lisbon (working with coins and phone cards). Phone cards are available at post offices and also at several shops (namely tobacco kiosks and newspapers kiosks).

Discos Bars Restaurants and Fado & Folk Music: 

There are some areas in Lisbon were several bars and discos can be found: the "Docas" (riverside), "24 de Julho" and  "Bairro Alto".( usually open until 3 a.m.(bars) and 6 a.m. (discos))
There is a large variation of restaurant prices: from €5 until €15
